The Pet Stops Here Daycare is a small personalized daycare whose mission is to enhance the life of each dog that comes through our doors. Structured days are divided into play time, exercise, naps, training, cuddle time, and walks. Play groups consist of 5 – 10 dogs matched by their size, energy levels, and play style. This way we can foster polite social manners and avoid squirt bottles, shake cans, air horns or other aversive methods to manage play groups. Each dog is carefully evaluated to ensure that everyone has a safe and positive experience.
A pet that receives regular exercise, mental stimulation, socialization, and quality time with people has little reason to develop unwanted behaviors. Our daycare serves all of these needs for your pet through play, training, exercise, walks, and one on one time with our daycare staff.
A well balanced day provides your dog with little opportunity to practice unwanted behaviors. Dogs become hungry, tired, cranky, and bored much like children. Just as a children’s daycare might divide the day into nap time, lunch time, play time, and craft time, we create the same structure for our dogs.
Dogs vary greatly in their play styles and energy levels, so we place dogs in play groups based on size, energy, training level, and play type so that each dog will have a positive experience and learn canine social skills from appropriate playmates.
No two dogs are the same when it comes to their needs. Exercise, training, and socialization are tailored to meet the unique requirements of every dog. Play groups are between 5 and 10 canine members so that each dog can receive individual attention.
Daycare passes can be purchased in various increments and are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

RULES OF PLAY
Thank you for your interest in the Pet Stops Here. We are a combination facility designed with the busy dog owner in mind. The Spa incorporates several components, daycare, professional grooming, training, and a retail store/boutique.
While at The Pet Stops Here, your dog will enjoy interaction with both dogs and people and will be placed in a play group that is best suited to his or her temperament and size. Your dog will have access to indoor play areas, toys, unlimited water, daily outdoor walks or exercised on our state of the art dog treadmill. All play groups are completely supervised and good behavior and manners are encouraged.
The first step in enrolling your dog is to schedule an evaluation. Please call us 425-637-0188 to schedule your appointment. There is a one-time $25 non-refundable application and interview fee per dog.
We will need the following forms completed for your dog's evaluation:
Pet Personality Profile, Owner Agreement, and Owner Information Sheet. Please bring these forms to your appointment along with a copy of your dogs vaccination records.
The Pet Stops Here has set up some guidelines to ensure the safety and health of all our daycare clients. The following guidelines and rules apply to all guests:
- All dogs must be 12 weeks of age or older. (Puppies under 12 weeks accepted on limited basis and may require additional fees)
- All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.
- All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof from their veterinarian of DHPP (annually) and Bordetella ( every 6 months) vaccinations. Rabies is required for puppies over 4 months of age. Proof of vaccinations can be faxed by your veterinarian to 425-646-8152
- All dogs must be in good health. Owners will certify that their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Upon admission, all dogs must be free of any condition that could potentially jeopardize other guests, including fleas, ticks, or any other parasite. Dogs who have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted.
- All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or dogs. The safety and health of all of our guests is our primary concern, please keep this in mind.
- All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date, and approved application on file to attend daycare.
- The Pet Stops Here reserves the right to dismiss any dog from daycare should they show aggressive or threatening behavior at any time. Dogs that continue to show problematic behavior may be required to limit their visits and/or undergo behavior modification.
